Sloane & Joseph Wedding @ Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, Farmingdale NJ

Some couples are just naturally fun to photograph, and Sloane & Joseph were definitely one of those couples.

From our first conversations with them, we knew their wedding day would have plenty of personality. Sloane is a first-grade teacher with a great sense of humor, and we had a lot of laughs getting to know her and Joseph before the big day.

After eight years together, the two celebrated their wedding at Eagle Oaks in Farmingdale, New Jersey, on a Saturday in August 2026. From their church ceremony in Howell to a reception filled with laughter and personality, it was such a fun day to photograph.

Eight Years Together and a Surprise Proposal

Joseph made sure the proposal was one Sloane would never see coming.

He planned everything around a pool party with their friends and family there to share in the moment. Rose petals were scattered for the proposal, along with a light-up sign asking, “Will You Marry Me?”

Sloane was completely surprised — and very excited.

After eight years of dating, it was such a fun and personal way to begin the next chapter of their story, eventually leading to their wedding at Eagle Oaks.

A Church Ceremony in Howell, NJ

Sloane & Joseph chose to have their wedding ceremony at a church in Howell, New Jersey.

They decided not to do a first look, which meant the ceremony was the first time Joseph saw Sloane on their wedding day. There’s always something special about keeping that moment for the aisle, and it gave the ceremony an extra layer of anticipation and emotion.

After they officially became husband and wife, everyone headed to Farmingdale to continue the celebration.

Wedding Photography at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club

The reception took place at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club, giving us plenty of beautiful settings for portraits and candid wedding photography.

A wedding at Eagle Oaks offers such a great combination of elegant spaces and beautiful outdoor scenery. The grounds gave us opportunities for classic couple portraits while also leaving plenty of room to capture the more spontaneous moments that happened throughout the celebration.

And there were definitely plenty of those with Sloane & Joseph.

A Wedding Gallery Full of Personality

One of our favorite things about photographing Sloane was how naturally her personality came through in the photos.

She’s funny, lighthearted, and clearly loves having a good time — and you can see that throughout their wedding gallery. Alongside the romantic portraits are plenty of laughs, playful expressions, and genuine moments between Sloane, Joseph, and their guests.

Those are often some of our favorite photographs from a wedding at Eagle Oaks because they go beyond simply showing what the day looked like. They help tell the story of how it actually felt.

Our approach to wedding photography has always been to give couples beautiful portraits while also watching for the unscripted moments happening around them. Sloane & Joseph gave us plenty to capture.

A Fun Celebration in Farmingdale

Once the reception began, the energy of the day really came alive.

After a meaningful church ceremony, it was time for Sloane & Joseph to relax, celebrate, and enjoy being surrounded by their family and friends.

Their wedding at Eagle Oaks had a great mix of meaningful moments and pure fun — which made it exactly the kind of wedding we love photographing.
