Just two weeks after their church ceremony at St. Rose of Lima Church in Freehold, New Jersey, the couple gathered again with family and friends for another incredible celebration — this time at the breathtaking Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury.

From the moment we arrived, the entire day felt elegant, emotional, and full of anticipation. And while the venue gave us no shortage of gorgeous backdrops, what really stood out was the connection between Jill & Gianni.

Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury is one of those venues that immediately makes an impression.

The grand architecture, manicured grounds, dramatic interiors, and timeless atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for Jill & Gianni’s day. Everywhere we turned, there was another beautiful setting for portraits.

A Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury wedding already brings a sense of elegance, but Jill & Gianni made the space feel even more special because their personalities and emotions came through so naturally in every photograph.

An Emotional First Look

One of the most touching moments of the day came during Jill & Gianni’s first look.

The second Gianni saw Jill, the emotion hit him.

There were happy tears, big reactions, and one of those moments where you almost forget anyone else is around. First looks can be emotional, but this one felt especially genuine because there was no holding anything back.

That reaction set the tone for so much of their Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury wedding.

Throughout the day, Gianni’s emotions surfaced again and again — and every time, it was obvious just how much this moment, and this marriage, meant to him.

A Second Ceremony Filled With Emotion

Even though Jill & Gianni had officially celebrated their church ceremony just two weeks earlier, their ceremony at Shadowbrook still felt incredibly meaningful.

Surrounded by their loved ones, they had another opportunity to celebrate their commitment to one another, and once again, Gianni couldn’t hide how emotional he was.

There are couples who photograph beautifully, and then there are couples whose connection is so obvious that you barely have to direct them.

Jill & Gianni were the latter.

There was such an ease between them throughout the day. The way they looked at each other, laughed together, held onto one another, and reacted to each moment made the wedding feel incredibly personal.

And now, just two weeks later, we had the privilege of photographing their Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury wedding.

Getting to follow a couple through so many milestones is rare, and it made this wedding feel even more personal for our team.

There’s something incredibly special about watching a story unfold over time instead of only arriving for one day.
