Some weddings feel extra meaningful because of the history behind them, and Samantha & Aidan’s wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club was definitely one of those days for us.
Years ago, Rosana photographed Samantha’s Sweet 16. When Samantha reached out again, this time because she was getting married, it felt incredibly special to be invited back for another major milestone in her life.
She told us how much she loved the photos from her Sweet 16 and how happy she had been with Rosana’s work. Hearing from a past client years later and getting the chance to photograph such an important new chapter is something we never take for granted.
There is something so meaningful about being trusted by a family more than once.
Samantha’s wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club gave us the chance to reconnect with someone we had already photographed during another unforgettable moment in her life. This time, instead of celebrating a Sweet 16, we were there to document the beginning of her marriage to Aidan.
That kind of full-circle experience is rare, and it made the day feel even more personal for our team.
Samantha & Aidan celebrated their wedding on a Friday in August 2026 at Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
A wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club already offers such a beautiful setting, with waterfront views, elegant spaces, and plenty of opportunities for both romantic portraits and candid moments throughout the day.
But beyond the venue itself, what made this celebration stand out was how much personality and heart could be found in the little details.
One detail in particular immediately caught our attention.
Samantha is a teacher, and during the wedding there was a display featuring drawings and notes from her kindergarten students answering a simple question: “Love is…”
Their answers were sweet, funny, innocent, and completely heartfelt.
Some drew families. Some drew people they loved. Others simply wrote what love meant to them in the wonderfully honest way only young children can.
It was such a touching addition to Samantha & Aidan’s wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club, and it felt especially fitting for a day centered around love.
The display wasn’t just adorable — it also said something about Samantha. Seeing those drawings from her students added another layer to the celebration and showed how loved she is beyond just the people gathered at the wedding.
One of our favorite things about photographing and filming a wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club is how much variety the venue offers.
The waterfront setting creates beautiful opportunities for portraits, while the reception spaces give us a completely different atmosphere once the celebration begins. That mix lets us capture both the polished, romantic side of the wedding day and the candid, energetic moments that happen naturally.
Samantha & Aidan gave us plenty of both.
From the quieter moments between them to the excitement of the celebration, their wedding gallery and film tell the story of a day that felt joyful, personal, and full of meaning.
For us, this day was about more than photographing another beautiful couple.
Samantha’s wedding at Crystal Point Yacht Club was a reminder of how special it is when clients come back and allow us to keep documenting their lives.
From her Sweet 16 to her wedding day, we’ve had the privilege of being there for two incredibly important milestones — and that means a lot to us.
To Samantha & Aidan, thank you for trusting Shotwell Productions to capture this chapter.
We are more than honored to have been part of it.
