Nicole & Joshua’s wedding at The Graycliff in Moonachie, NJ was the kind of day that felt relaxed, happy, and full of meaning from start to finish. Their celebration took place on a Friday in July 2026, surrounded by the people who love them most, and we were so grateful to be part of it. This wedding was extra special for us because Nicole & Joshua were recommended to Shotwell Productions by a previous client, which always means so much to our team.

A Love Story That Started Miles from Home

Nicole & Joshua both had New Jersey roots, but their love story truly began after life brought them south. They currently live in North Carolina, though they were both originally from NJ. They loosely knew of each other back home, but it was not until Nicole visited friends in South Carolina that everything started to fall into place. Her friends suggested she and Joshua link up, and three years later, they were celebrating their wedding at The Graycliff with family and friends.

Their proposal story is just as sweet. Joshua proposed on Valentine’s Day at Fahrenheit, a beautiful restaurant with a rooftop area. He brought Nicole up to the rooftop to ask the big question, but she was so excited about the view that she did not notice he was already down on one knee. When she finally realized what was happening, she was completely surprised. At first, she did not know what to say, but then came the answer: yes, a million times yes.

A Hometown Hero Bride

Nicole is a teacher assistant, which makes her one of our Hometown Heroes. We always love getting to celebrate couples who spend their days serving others, and Nicole’s warmth and joy came through so naturally throughout the day. Her wedding at The Graycliff felt like such a beautiful reflection of who she and Joshua are together: sweet, easygoing, and full of love.

Before the ceremony and reception, Nicole & Joshua shared their first look at Kingsland Park in Nutley, NJ. The park gave them a quiet, green, and peaceful setting before the rest of the day unfolded. Their first look was chill, happy, and so genuinely them. It was the perfect way to start their portraits before heading to their wedding at The Graycliff.
