Some love stories start with a first date. Brittany & Mike’s started much earlier than that.

Their families knew each other, and the two of them grew up around one another as lifelong friends. Over time, that friendship became something more. They grew closer and eventually started dating, building a relationship that had already been years in the making before their beautiful Spring Lake wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor.

From Lifelong Friends to Forever

By the time we first connected with Brittany & Mike in April 2025, they had already been together for about five years. Their story is one of those reminders that sometimes the person you’re meant to be with has been part of your life all along.

Mike’s proposal was just as thoughtful as their history together. He planned everything ahead of time with Tiffany & Co., arranging for a private room inside the jewelry store. Brittany had absolutely no idea what was coming. After the proposal, they celebrated with champagne, making an already unforgettable moment even sweeter.

That story made photographing their Spring Lake wedding feel like another chapter in a relationship that had been growing for years.

Their Sandy Hook Engagement Session

Before the wedding day, we also had the chance to photograph Brittany & Mike’s engagement session in June 2025 at Sandy Hook, New Jersey.

Engagement sessions are always a great opportunity for us to get to know our couples before the wedding, and spending that time with Brittany & Mike made us even more excited for their big day.

By the time their Spring Lake wedding arrived in July 2026, it felt great to see them again and document everything they had been looking forward to.

A Summer Wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor

Brittany & Mike celebrated on a Friday in July at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake, NJ. Between the waterfront scenery, elegant venue, and summer atmosphere, it was an incredible setting for the day.

The Mill gave us plenty of beautiful backdrops for both photo and video, but what really made this Spring Lake wedding stand out was the energy surrounding Brittany & Mike.

The entire day felt joyful, relaxed, and full of people who were genuinely excited to celebrate them.

One Seriously Good Reception

And then came the party.

Brittany & Mike’s reception was such a fun one to capture. The dance floor stayed lively, the energy was high, and there were plenty of candid moments happening all around us.

Those are some of our favorite receptions to photograph and film because we can step back, let everyone enjoy themselves, and capture the moments exactly as they happen.

Their Spring Lake wedding had all the beautiful moments you hope for on a wedding day, but it also had a reception that reminded us just how much fun weddings are supposed to be.
