Marissa & Drew Wedding @ Grand Marquis, Old Bridge NJ

In the picturesque setting of Grand Marquis, we had the honor of capturing the heartwarming love story of Marissa & Drew. This super sweet couple’s journey began with a magical proposal in front of Epcot Center and blossomed into a beautiful wedding celebration.

Marissa: A Heartwarming Beginning

Marissa, a talented speech therapist, shared her side of the story, painting a vivid picture of their initial encounter. It was a typical college weekend night when their paths first crossed.

“Drew and I met back in January of 2015. It was just a normal weekend night in college, and I was going out with some of my friends. When we arrived at our friend’s dorm room to start the night and all meetup, one friend came in with two of his friends. Drew was one of those friends. When he walked in, we exchanged smiles and from that point, that was it-almost. Drew was quiet for most of the night, but as it was winding down, I told our mutual friend that I thought he was cute. Evidently, on that same night, Drew had asked our friend for my phone number, and we’ve pretty much been talking ever since. About two weeks after we started dating, I was on the phone with my mom, and at one point, I had said, ‘Mom, we’ve only been dating two weeks,’ and her response was, ‘Mariss, marriages start with people that have only been dating two weeks.’ If only I had known how right she was.”

Drew: A Believer in Fate and True Love

Drew, on the other hand, had an unwavering belief in fate and an instant connection when he first laid eyes on Marissa.

“Marissa and I met at the end of January 2015. We were both going into the spring semester of our sophomore year at the University of Maryland. I, along with my friend Dan, were invited to go out with our friend Matt and some of his friends. So we make our way over to Matt’s dorm room to meet up before going out. Marissa still says that I’m making this part up – but I knew as soon as I saw her that we were going to have some kind of special connection. Fast forward to the end of the night, and a few stories of my high school’s Bring your Tractor to School Day later, we part ways. Having regretted not getting her number, I asked our mutual friend Matt for her number, and the rest was history. I am incredibly blessed, lucky, fortunate, or whatever you want to call it to have found my true soul mate this early in life. It sounds so incredibly cliché, but I know that Marissa is the person that I am meant to spend the rest of my life with. She makes me the happiest I’ve ever been, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
