Erin & Gina Sweet 16

Often times we shoot for DJ companies and they help us meet new and amazing people. Royal Entertainment in Freehold NJ connected us as photographers to Erin and Gina for their combined Sweet 16.

The two lovely girls are friends that chose to celebrate their birthdays together at 618 Restaurant in Freehold NJ. The entire room upstairs was decorated for a New Years Even theme and was made complete with a photo booth provided by Royal Entertainment. The low temperatures outside prevented us from taking the two girls and their court outside for portraits, so we had to stay inside and out of the restaurant. Fortunately, there was nice uplighting and a custom backdrop that we could use upstairs.

These two families were great people. They gladly organized and posed for photos. When it came time to start the party, the entrances were perfect and everyone got up to dance and celebrate. Even the parents.

We had the opportunity to work with Michael, a great videographer at Untouchable Entertainment from Toms River, NJ. I’m sure he got some great dance floor footage.

My favorite thing from this party that left me very impressed was there were so many really good, young dancers in the crowd. Boys and girls were showing off some very impressive skills out on the floor. But, I must say, nobody could compare to the awesome dances moves of Erin’s dad.

The girls both had these beautiful blue sparkly dresses that would shimmer under the lights while they shared their candle lighting ceremony. For the wow moment, they had sparklers on their three tier birthday cake! These were my favorite shots of the night.

Its rare that Rob and I get to photograph the same event and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with these families and working with Royal Entertainment. Happy New Year!
